Two Great Opportunities

I have never before offered two opportunities for an investment on my blogs, but they might be of interest to someone reading this blog. Please know that I am not planning to make this blog a commercial. I have more to say. As far as my sale goes, I have two items to sell. First, I want to sell my golf cart. And I want to sell my 1983, 380SL Mercedes Bentz.  Both items are top quality. Contact me if interested.

Second, our greatest opportunity is to make a profound difference in our culture.  What an upside-down world we are living in. Our lives should model our Lord!  Make your commitment today.

All of us are living in a fast-moving day and time, unlike any time we have ever lived. It really is a great time to make an impact on our world. Every day I am praying for God to give me the opportunity to make a difference in my world. There has never been a day or time when a great moving of the Holy Spirit of God is needed like the present time. Come Holy Spirit, we really do need You!

Every day we live we have many opportunities. Measure those choices; and choose what is right.

I must admit I had failed through the years to feast on the tremendous message in this wonderful Psalm 29. Hidden in the eleven verses is this discipline of spiritual tenacity. I came to realize that tenacity is more than endurance; it is endurance combined with absolute certainty that what we are looking for is going to transpire. Calm confidence and triumphant trust breathe in every line of this Psalm of confidence that Martin Luther used to love to sing, and which gave birth to that stirring battle hymn: “A Mighty Fortress Is Our God.”

I discovered a brand new sermon that I had never noticed before in these inspired verses. The Power of God is in verses 1-3; The Presence of God is in verses 4-7; and the Peace of God is in verses 8-11. Digesting this Psalm I am coming to know what it is to make our very own, this Psalm, so perfectly simple in its meaning and joyous expression. Our right conception must be of God banishing all fear.  As thrones,  governments, and systems change so rapidly these days, may we be still and know that our God reigns! It is a fact that we must believe, tenacity is the supreme effort of a person refusing to believe that our hero is going to be conquered. There is nothing noble the human mind has ever hoped for or dreamed of that will not be fulfilled because our God reigns!

Tenacity is what changes our lives!

Half of January has already passed.  Is there any way we can slow down the sunset?  Life is moving on.  What we need to do or want to do, we must do.  And “to do” means to “get started”!

Psychotherapist Sheldon Kopp believes “all the significant battles are waged within the self.” Submit your personal self to the “Light of the World,'' Jesus, the Man of Galilee, the Son of the living God, the Way Maker, our Deliverer, our soon-coming King.

Against what in you, is Satan waging war? Did you turn over any leaves as this new year 2023 came in?  Like, committing to daily Bible reading and prayer.  What about settling a score in a Christ-like manner, that you have against someone?  How about needs concerning your health that you have been putting off?  Have you been thinking about signing up for a ministry in your local church?  Have you been thinking about mending fences in your immediate family?  What thought or decision has settled upon you at the beginning of 2023?  And what or who is fighting against you?  You can’t change others, but you can do something about “self."  Don’t let the evil one control you.  Turn your personal “self” over to God and be determined to use HIS power, help, and blessings to conquer your foe.

Get started on what you need to do.  Don’t waste your day. Time is flying by.  The songwriter said, “Work for the night is coming."

                LET’S…

Do all the good we can,

By all the means we can,

In all the ways we can,

In all the places we can,

At all the times we can,

To all the people we can,

As long as ever we can!

                LET’S…

      Go to church faithfully,

      Be Christ’s disciples,

      Love everybody,

Not think of ourselves more highly than others,

      Help the helpless,

Give ‘till there’s just no more to give,

Climb every mountain in our way.

And let the redeemed of the Lord say so.

I am redeemed!
