Blog 245 for December 25, 2021

The year 2022 has arrived and here we are in another new year. We have just left the old year of 2021 behind. Everyone will agree with me when I say it was a very fast year. It has been a wonderful year for many of us, and a very difficult year for others. It goes without saying that all of us have faced many challenges totally different from all the other years we have faced in the past. Some of us have had to say farewell to friends and relatives as the Lord has called them home. Bess and I have lost some dear friends that are greatly missed at the beginning of another year. We really do miss them. I am very grateful that it is not the end for all of these dear people and for us. We will see them again, and be together in a place where there is no end. What a celebration we are going to have when we meet again! It is a fact, the Bible does not say it all. We have to believe what God’s Word says when it says,

“Eye has not seen, ear has not heard, neither has entered into the mind of man the things that God has prepared for those that love Him!” 1 Corinthians 2:9

What is going to happen to our great nation in the new year? All of us have been saying it over and over again, and it really is true, we have never experienced a year like 2021. I am convinced that we are in the beginning stages of the Great Tribulation. Everything is pointing in that direction, and it does not look like things are going to change. My great hope is for our dear Lord to come back for His Church, to take all of us that are blood-washed and Spirit-filled to heaven. I find myself saying with a host of people, “Even so come quickly, Lord Jesus.”

If things are as bad as they are with a spirit of the Great Tribulation present in our world, what will they be like when it really is here 100%? I really do believe that the Bible teaches that all devoted Christians will not go through the Tribulation period. As the Bible teaches, the Tribulation period will be for seven years with the last half very brutal. There is nothing to compare, at the present time, with the seven-year period, along with an illustration of the history of this period in world history.

There has never been a time in World and American history like our world today.

All the signs of the Second Coming of our Lord are everywhere. He could come at any moment! Now is the time when all of us must be sure we are ready to meet our Lord when He comes.

Jesus really is coming back to earth again!

I lived a sheltered life before I went away for college in Nashville, Tennessee. It was at the Church Street Garage in Nashville that I had my rude awakening with the other side of life. In many ways, it was an experience that really did impact my life. My parents never did know what I encountered from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. at the parking garage in downtown Nashville. If they had known we were across the alley from 13 nightclubs, I am sure they would have brought me home. I never did tell them. Looking back, I am convinced it was an experience that was good for me. I really saw life that I actually did not know existed. To this day I never did tell my dad that his childhood friend, Eddie Arnold, that he taught to play the guitar, was a part of the alley scene. Who knows, had my dad known, his life could have been completely changed. I really am happy that he stayed on the farm to take care of his parents. Without a doubt, I am the winner. I saw the results of the Church Street crowd and the fact that you really do reap what you sow.

The biggest names in Nashville at the time were a part of this crowd. There were doctors, lawyers, and the wealth of Nashville represented. Sam was his name. He was the barroom manager and always wanted me to have his car ready at 3 a.m. when he was ready to go home. He always had a tip for me. I was shocked one morning when he told me he grew up attending church at 510 Woodland. I knew that was the First Nazarene Church of Nashville. He told me a sad story of a life that was reaping what it had sewn.

One morning this lady that represented the wealth of Nashville, was so drunk she could hardly walk. She would not let me call a cab to take her home. She bumped into three big columns as she left and really dented her fancy car. I still wonder if she ever made it home. This really was a nightly scene at the cashier job of Church Street Garage. It is a fact: we really do reap what we sow.

It really does pay to serve Jesus!

It really is amazing! Another year is quickly drawing to a close. All of us continue to say it over and over again, “I can’t believe how fast time is flying!” For years I have heard people say, “The older I get the faster time flies.” I have refused to say that for some time, but I must admit it because it is absolutely true! In many ways, 2021 has been like a vapor. Will 2022 be any different? I think you know the answer. For many of us, it is going to be faster. Now is the time to get ready for the race!

The greatest fact in world history at the present time is that Jesus is coming back to earth again! The songwriter says, “Rejoice, the Lord Is King!”

Rejoice, the Lord is King; Your Lord and King adore!

Rejoice, give thanks and sing, And triumph evermore.

Lift up your heart; Lift up your voice! Rejoice; Again

I say Rejoice!

Rejoice in glorious hope! Our Lord, the Judge, shall come.

Your heart; Lift up your voice! Rejoice; again I say: rejoice!

The world has never known rejoicing like the world shall experience when all of God’s children are gathered together around the Throne of God on that glad reunion day! We must make sure we have asked the Lord Jesus to be our Lord and Savior in order to be a part of the great celebration!

Jesus is coming again!

My Lord has blessed me through the years with wonderful friends. Some of these friends are closer than others. These very special friends have been willing to stand by me through times of loss and in gain, and through disappointment and in failure. One of these friends is Wayne Byrum, who lives just outside the city of Detroit, Michigan, to the north. He has been my friend as a layman and as a member of my ministerial staff in several locations.  At the present time, he is a member of the church staff of a large conservative Presbyterian church with an attendance of over 2,000 in worship. No one has been more loyal and supportive than Wayne. He has served in the present position since he retired as a counselor in the U. S. Air Force hospital near Ann Arbor, Michigan. That was the last time I spoke to him.

I am sure by now people reading this blog are wondering what about Jay Ahlemann? Without a doubt, Jay remains my best friend. We have been friends since the middle of the ‘50s. He has followed me in two churches and has taken both of them to record growth in all areas. He has said over and over again that I have taught him how to grow a church. Their friendship has no limits and is best described as a David and Johnathan friendship in the Old Testament.

Wayne Byrum telephoned me a few days ago to check on me, and to tell me how much he appreciates me. Wayne came into my life in Virginia Beach, Virginia, while I was pastoring Tidewater Central Church. He became a lay leader and later a member of my ministerial staff in two churches. We became great friends and really cherish our friendships. I have said it many times, but it is still true. Friends really are priceless treasures.

Sixteen years ago this past September, Bess and I began a wonderful journey in the beautiful Tennessee mountains.  Our Lord helped us to purchase two beautiful cabins, located on almost two acres of land on Majestic View Way in Cosby, Tennessee. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Floyd, owners, made it all possible with a short-term loan. What an exciting journey it has been! For the last three and a half years we have been “Snow Birds,” spending six months at our cabins and six months at our beautiful condo in the Lakeland, Florida, area.

Owning the cabins for sixteen years has kept us very busy. Bess has worked to keep them up to date and beautiful. As a result, the people that have rented the cabins have given us a “Five Star” rating. Our Lord has blessed us with an outstanding schedule of renters through the years. Without a doubt, Bess has been responsible for much of the results.

During the years I have kept my chainsaw ready and willing. It has seemed to me that trees and tree limbs grow faster in the mountains than at other places. I am now admitting that I took too many chances climbing trees and cutting limbs. I really am grateful for my Lord’s blood covering and protection. For two years after I retired from the pastorate, I  did the mowing of the grass at both cabins. I called it my fitness center because it really was a workout on the slopes of the hills.

When we began another new spring, summer, and fall season on May 1, we had no plans for a sale of our two cabins and property on Majestic View Way in Cosby. However, the Lord has worked in an amazing way for the sale of our property.

The official closing of our two cabins and land was on November 15. Bess and I are convinced that our Lord made it all happen. Ken and his brother Kelly Bellerose are the new owners of the property. “TheMajesticView.Com'' and “AMajesticView.Com'' now form a beautiful piece of property consisting of three cabins and land. Bess and I are wishing the new owners great success now and in the future.

When Bess and I arrived for our 16th stay at our cabins on April 30, we had no idea what was ahead for us. In the first few days of August 2021, I faced my second battle with intestinal blockage, which makes it bad in scar tissue. According to my doctor, Dr. Jeffrey Matthews, at Newport Regional Hospital, I was blessed with more than my share of scar tissue from the repairing of two hernias through the years. Dr. Matthews had told me at my second encounter with a blockage that a third experience would mean surgery. This third experience began with a horrible night on Sunday, October 24, followed by surgery on October 27. After surgery, I spent five days in the hospital with three days in intensive care. Dr. Matthews and his staff at Newport Hospital did an incredible job throughout this journey.

I first met Dr. Matthews in the emergency room at Newport Regional Hospital during my second blockage.  He really did seem to take extra special care of me during this time. I soon found out the reason. He was a born-again believer, and active in his church, and showed respect for me and my ministry. During all of my physical challenges I have asked for him and he has always responded. At the time of my final check-up and examination, he spent special time with Bess and me to make sure I was ready for dismissal from the hospital, and the long trip to Florida. He told me then that I had done better than people half my age. I told him it was because the Great Physician was on my side! He agreed. God has been with me all the way! I am making progress every day! My heart and spirit are overwhelmed with the tremendous prayer army that covers me. Many of the people praying for me, I don’t even know and have never met. The internet ministry is incredible!

To God be honor and glory now and forever!

Two years ago at the National Quartet Convention in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, Bess and I met a delightful couple from St. Louis while we were meeting and talking to people in the lobby of the convention center. Bill and Mary Beth Purdy came up to us and said “We recognize you from watching your services on the internet.” This was not an unusual experience. As a matter of fact, people were doing the same thing at this NQC that just happened at the last of September and first of October. It is always very heartwarming to hear what people, we have never met, have to say about our services on Saturdays and Sundays that were reaching a very large audience.

From those moments in the lobby of the LeConte Center two years ago to the present time, a friendship with Bill and Mary Beth has blossomed. At this year’s NQC Bess and I had the opportunity to have a meal together with the Purdys. Bill has prayed for me in some of my physical challenges. I have also prayed for him. He is a wonderful encourager! He has spent his life in the field of education with a tremendous career.

Two years ago when we met in the lobby at NQC, I told them that when I was a teenager, my baseball idol was “Stan The Man,” a left fielder with the St. Louis Cardinals. I told them back then I was a left-handed batter just like Stan Musial, and dreamed of playing baseball just like “Stand The Man.” Many of you may not know that “Stan The Man” was one of the greatest players in the history of baseball. I was a left-handed hitter just like Stan and tried to copy his stance. As you can tell, I really was excited to hear all about Stan, and the fact that they lived on the same street in St. Louis as “Stand The Man, my hero!

A few days ago I received a phone call from my friend Bill in St. Louis. He told me he wanted to know my mailing address while we were still at our cabins in the mountains. I could tell he was excited about a gift he wanted to mail me. He then said,  “I won’t tell you what it is, but I know you are going to like it.” It really does go without saying, but I am thrilled with this wonderful clock that has Stan’s picture on it and signed by him! What a gift! Thank you, Bill. I am very grateful!

Friends really are a priceless treasure!

November is the month for two great happenings. Bess and I are beginning the month back in our wonderful condo. We have had a wonderful time in the Smokies in our beautiful cabins with the mountains in view. It really was a great happening when our Lord helped us to purchase two very special cabins in a fabulous location. It has been great to own these cabins for 16 years. God certainly has been good to us!

Thanksgiving has always been a very special happening for Bess and me, along with our family. Everyone that knows Bess knows she works hard to make it a Thanksgiving to remember. She always makes the big dining room table come alive with the beauty of Thanksgiving. Before we left the mountains she was already planning to make it beautiful for all the family to enjoy. The spirit of Thanksvilling will come alive at Bess Kirby’s table on Thanksgiving Day 2021!

Thanksgiving Day is a special day to praise our Lord. That should be the main reason to celebrate. Please think with me what Thanksgiving day 2021 would be like if everyone in our nation would give praise to our Lord. The Psalmist said in Psalm 100 “Enter His gates with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise: Be thankful unto Him, and bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting; and His truth endureth to all generations.” I am thinking at this moment what would happen in America if everyone would give praise and thanksgiving to our Lord God just like the psalmist has said. There has never been a time in American history when praise to the God that created all of us is needed like it will be on this Thanksgiving Day! This is something every one of us can do. I am challenging everyone that reads this blog to let your heart be a thankful heart all through this glorious season of the year.

May our Lord be honored and praised!

Wouldn’t you love to have been there on the Judean hillside when the unexpected happened?  A Baby was born…, not just any baby but the SON of GOD.  Wow!  HE lit up the sky.  The angels sang.  And shepherds came.  Wise men from the East brought gifts to the Infant Child.

As I celebrate HIS birth this 2021 Christmas morning, all I want to say is HALLELUJAH…

  1. To the Baby born in Bethlehem,
  2. To Mary’s Holy Child,
  3. To God’s dear Son,
  4. To the great I AM,
  5. To the Alpha and Omega,
  6. To Way, the Truth, and the Life,
  7. To the Almighty,
  8. To the Bright and Morning Star,
  9. To the Prince of Peace,
  10. To the Chief Cornerstone,
  11. To the Bread of Life,
  12. To our Wonderful Counselor,
  13. To the Lord of Lords and Deliverer,
  14. To our great Shepherd,
  15. To our Messiah, Savior of the World, and Redeemer,
  16. To the Door and to our Judge,
  17. To our Master,
  18. To the King of Kings,
  19. To the Lamb of God,
  20. And Hallelujah to the Light of the World.

No longer do we have to walk in the darkness.  The Light has come.

“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.  Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.  Your God will be your glory…and your days of sorrow will end.” Isaiah 60:1,3,19b,20b

“I am the Light of the world.  Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness.” John 8:12

Philip Bliss wrote in 1875 these words,

“The whole world was lost in the darkness of sin; The Light of the World is Jesus.  Like sunshine at noonday, His glory shone in: the Light of the World is Jesus. Come to the Light ‘tis shining for thee.   Sweetly the Light has dawned upon me.  Once I was blind, but now I can see.  The Light of the World is Jesus."

In “Seek God for the City, 2020,” Steve Hawthorne for WAYMAKERS, wrote this, which is so appropriate for today.

“We know what it is like to be blinded by our own wrongdoing and to be held in spiritual bondage.  Many in our city are trapped in patterns of sin that they cannot see. Come, Lord Jesus.  You are the light of the world.  Send Your light to penetrate the darkness with brilliant healing power.  Liberate those who are locked in darkness.  Pry apart sealed eyelids.  Illumine darkened minds.  Wrench open prison doors.  Cut the bonds that handcuff their hearts.  Call each one to break free from what has bound them.  May they follow You with grateful faithfulness.”  He further adds, “We pray today for those who are still in the twilight shadows, right on the verge of stepping into Your light and life.  Call them to Yourself. Give them the courage to follow You…”

Join me in all those Hallelujahs to the Baby born in Bethlehem, the Redeemer of the world.  Merry Christmas to all.

This phrase, “Singing in the Rain,” can imply overcoming a sad, dark, heartbreaking time in one’s life.  This song was written in 1929, lyrics by Freed and music by Brown.  The American Musical Comedy Film was released in 1952.  It is considered a classic by many.  A few of the lyrics are these:

“I’m singing in the rain, just singing in the rain.  What a glorious feeling, I’m happy again.  I’m laughing at the clouds so dark up above. The sun’s in my heart and I’m ready for love…”

To follow this up with these lyrics by Carolyn R. Freeman puts God in the picture with our struggles, despair, and hopelessness.

“Never fear tho’ shadows dark around your path may fall; do not let your heart be troubled; From His throne in heaven, God is watching one and all…He will ever care for you…Back of the clouds, the sun is always shining.  After the storms, your skies will all be blue.  God has prepared a rosy-tinted lining.  Back of the clouds, it’s waiting to shine through.”

The Slavens and Ira Stanphill wrote these words and music, copyrighted in 1946.

“You can have a melody down in your heart, when it’s aching, almost breaking.  Even though the sorrow makes the teardrop start, you can have a melody down in your heart…”

They also say,

“Do not let your worries drive your song away, tho’ tomorrow brings its sorrow…  Soon the night will pass and morning brings the day…..Anyone can sing when the sun’s shining bright,  but you need a song in your heart at night.”

So guess what? I choose to join the crowd who sings in the rain.  Are you presently “Singing in YOUR rain”?

Does this sound far-fetched to you?  Has life swallowed you up?  Is the pit you are in, colored black?  Are you in anguish?  Are you feeling desperate?  What about a dark tunnel of suffering or loss?

You are not alone.  Many in our world are in a deep place of woundedness. I’m praying for those in our world who feel alone, feel broken, feel there is no way out.  They are hurting, but I have news for them; for you; the SUN WILL SHINE ON A TOMORROW.

I’m reminded of Jeremiah, God’s prophet, as he dealt with disillusionment.  Christians are not exempt from suffering.  They go through deep, dark, valleys also.  But the good news is that they come out of their days of despair with a fresh breeze of hope, help, and confidence.  God is faithful.  Hang on.  Jesus is as close as the mention of His name.  He may be standing in the shadow, but HE IS THERE.

Martin Charnin wrote these familiar lyrics from the children’s musical, “Annie” about 1977.  This was originally sung on stage by children.

“The sun’ll come out tomorrow, bet your bottom dollar that tomorrow there’ll be sun!  Just thinking about tomorrow clears away the cobwebs and sorrow till there’s none.  When I’m stuck with a day that’s gray and lonely, I just stick out my chin and grin and say; Oh! The sun’ll come out tomorrow. So you got to hang on till tomorrow, come what may!”

Lois R. Irwin wrote these words about 1964.

“Dark clouds have gathered, stormy winds blow, troubles and heartaches have worried you so, But God has promised, the battle is mine, Tomorrow the sun will shine.”

I Peter 5:7 says that we should cast all our care upon Jesus, for He cares for us.

In the morning light…that’s someone’s tomorrow! In the morning light, JESUS arose, and what a difference He’s made in my life and multitudes of others.  There is hope, help, and healing in God’s tomorrow.  Don’t give up hope.

What is your difficulty today?  Let me tell you that help is on the way.  What is your despair? God has you under His wings.  What is the problem? The Solver is in the house.  Jesus is the answer. He can make a way where there seems to be no way.  He can solve every problem.  He’s the miracle worker.  He’s alive and well.

In my house, I have a wooden plaque that says,

How true this is.  God is our helper in all the challenges of life.  I need His help today. And I’m so glad He is in the house.

Here are some precious Scriptures for your consideration.

  1. Psalm 46:1 “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”

  2. Psalm 109:26 “Help me, O Lord my God…”

  3. Isaiah 50:7 “For the Lord God will help me…”

  4. Hebrews 13:6 “So that we may boldly say; the Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.”

It is apparent that Scripture, God’s Holy Word, is an important part of my life.  It is equally apparent that music, the great hymns of the church, and the lyrics of wonderful Christian songwriters have been, and still are, an important part of my life.

The songwriter said it this way,

“Just when the burdens of life are most heavy…..God reaches down His almighty hand.”

And another songwriter, C.A.Tindley, said it this way,

“When the storms of life are raging stand by me; when the storms of life are raging, stand by me. When the world is tossing me Like a ship upon the sea, Thou who rulest wind and water, stand by me.” (These words are too good to leave out portions of the other verses).  “In the midst of tribulations, stand by me, When the host of hell assail And my strength begins to fail, O Thou mighty God of battles, stand by me.  In the midst of faults and failures, stand by me; when I do the best I can and my friends misunderstand, Thou who knowest all about me, stand by me.”

Still another writer said this,

“I’ve got confidence, God’s gonna see me through.  No matter what the case may be, I know He’s gonna fix it for me.  I’ve got confidence.”

So HOLD ON TO GOD’S UNCHANGING HAND. Help is on the way.

Have you ever said, with frustration, “It never ceases…”?  What about other statements or questions like, “When will all this be over?”  How much more can I take?  Where is God?  Why doesn’t He help me?

Frustrations are everywhere today.  If not in your house today, perhaps some other day. Thanksgiving day and the Christmas season are not exempt. The stresses many of us face often pop up on unexpected days. The devil is at work.  He is out to destroy anyone & everyone. Don’t let him have you. Don’t let him take away your confidence and joy.  Hold to God’s unchanging hand.

Christian songwriters have expressed GOD’s help, in the time of our needs, in this way.

  1. God is in every tomorrow.

  2. Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.

  3. HE’s as close as the mention of HIS name.

  4. Standing somewhere in the shadows you’ll find Jesus.

  5. God will take care of you…thru every day, o'er all the way.

  6. Even in the valley, God is good.

  7. From sinking sand, HE lifted me…from shades of night to planes of light, HE lifted me.

  8. Jesus will walk with me down thru the valley…when in the shadow or when in the sunshine, if HE goes with me I shall not complain.

  9. My heavenly Father watches over me.

  10. God understands your sorrow, your heartache, your weakness; HE sees each falling tear…HE understands and cares.

Why not sing a “love” song to JESUS.  HE’s our best friend. He walks our journey with us.  He understands and cares. “Oh,yes, HE cares. I know HE cares.  HIS heart is touched with my grief.  When the days are weary, the long night’s dreary, I know my SAVIOR cares.”

I Love Thanksgiving Day!!

What a special family day Thanksgiving is. It is the day you see your grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins, and your personal family. And lest you forget, you have all that wonderful food. It’s a day to thank the Lord for your family and His bountiful blessings.

Memories of past Thanksgiving days remind me of the aroma, the smells of turkey and dressing baking in the oven, mashed potatoes, and gravy, green beans, fresh butter beans, all being prepared. Plus okra frying in the skillet, corn on the cob boiling in the water on the stove, freshly made cornbread being taken out of the oven, opening the can of cranberry sauce, preparing the slaw and refrigerating it, and on and on it goes, including the sights and smells of all manner of desserts. And, don’t forget the sweet tea and coffee. Past memories include a gathering of family, and sometimes even friends would drop by for the feast of feasts and the fellowship of all.

Laughter around the big table brought great joy; and, when the cleanup was complete the gathering for fun outside was a must for many who were present. As the day wore on and the evening shadows began to fall, our hearts began to turn toward home. We were cherished by a multitude of great memories and stuffed by the feast of feasts. How thankful we were for our faith, our family, our food, and our fun. Our faith and the family unit are the foundation stones for survival and thriving.

Please don’t pass on Thanksgiving Day. It’s a precious day for celebrating faith and family. Count your blessings... see what God has done.

Are you needing effective prayer today? James 5:16 says that the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man, available much. I desire so much to pray fervently and effectively.

Many of you know that Charles and I have a prayer ministry. We have a prayer journal with a long list of names in it.  At this writing, we have 47 pages

filled with names and needs. We add requests as we get them and we never remove a name even though a need was met or difficulty settled.  But, we know that problems abound; sickness occurs, death of family members comes to all, and daily, the devil is forever causing havoc in lives.  There are many broken hearts out there. We certainly believe that in the span of a lifetime, many needs and difficult issues will show up in our day-to-day living. So, whether we know the need or not, your name remains on our list; and we ask God to suit a miracle to your specific need.  You know by now that we serve an AWESOME GOD.

The Bible clearly tells us to pray without ceasing (I Thes.5:17). It tells us to ASK and BELIEVE (James 1:5,6,8). “...let him ask, nothing wavering,”  Mark 11:24 are the words of JESUS, “Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire when ye pray, BELIEVE that ye receive them and ye shall have them”.

I just believe that we must:

(1) Believe that God is.  That He exists. That He is Divine. That He is real.

(2) We must educate ourselves to God’s Word. Remember that song, “If God said it, that settles it for me.” Educate yourself on prayer, ask God, have faith in God, and believe HIS Word, the Scriptures.

(3) We must pray what God says in His Word. The songwriter put it this way, “Prayer is the key to Heaven, and Faith unlocks the door.”

Let’s keep on praying until light breaks through.

I can truly say that “There is no place like HOME.” After the activity of any day, please, just let me head for HOME.  That’s where my HEART wants to be. That’s because HOME is family. Family consists of you, your spouse, your children, your mother, your father, and perhaps, brothers and sisters. No doubt, if your parents have passed away, and your sisters and brothers have their own families,  you still have pictures of them and hold fond memories and feelings for them.  So we still feel connected.

HOME is location/address, also. It’s THE place you can put our feet up, relax, and talk to your family and friends.  HOME is fellowship, whether in person, or on the phone, or a letter, or text, or email.  It’s bonding with friends and family. HOME is neighbors...that is, those in your neighborhood.  It’s good to know your neighbors. When you pull into your subdivision or area, you know you are HOME, so to speak.  Knowing neighbors is comforting.  HOME is your beliefs, based on what you were taught in your HOME as a child, and what you have learned through the preaching of God’s Word, and what you have studied yourself.  HOME is love.  HOME is where your HEART is.  And HOME is so wonderful and so comforting.

Do you realize that the songwriter said it this way? “This world is not my HOME, I’m just a’passing through. My treasures are laid up somewhere beyond the blue. The angels beckon me to Heaven’s golden shore. And I can’t be at HOME in this world anymore.” Not only this house of clay, the physical body, but also this location where we reside, is not our final HOME. It’s a temporary dwelling. My eternal HOME will be my final HOME. You can count on the neighborhood being great; but much more than that, you can count on God, our Father, Jesus Christ, His Son, and the Holy Spirit, The Godhead, the Three-in-One being there.  What a comfort! What a fellowship! What singing! What worship! Oh, what love!  “When we all get to Heaven, What a day of rejoicing that will be.  When we all see Jesus, we’ll sing and shout the victory.”  My HEART will be at HOME.

This heavenly home is offered to all who will accept JESUS as personal Savior and Lord.  Come, go with Charles and me on the “narrow road” leading to that Heavenly Home. The time is now to choose your destiny.  There are only two locations: Heaven or Hell. Your HEART chooses Heaven.

HOME is where the HEART is.

The signs of the times are everywhere that reveal to us that it’s about time for Jesus to come back to earth again to get His saints. You have to have on the wedding garment. You have to have your lamps all trimmed and burning bright. Choose Christ today. Praying for you.
